I suppose a subversion could be that her daughter is the time traveler (implying that the daughter is adopted). Given her previous comments about being willing to do anything to prevent loss, it’d be curious that her husband had passed, assuming that Matilda, herself, had future knowledge.
I like the new web comic, but really wish you would keep “Crushed” going too. Besides being the best of all other your works, there were still a lot of story lines left unresolved.
